After being down for a month while searching for a new host, working through numerous technical issues and going through a couple of days of testing the site is now back online and working as designed.  We're finally able to automate the process of delivering the today series and publishing articles in advance.  The system will then automatically update the site and send out e-mails each morning so that you will have the Today Series in your mailbox around 1AM EST.

This will hopefully solve the delivery of more than one copy of the e-mail to your mailbox at a time.

We continue to have periodic problems with the web server hosting the site.  When I post a message, if the site does not process it quickly enough it will attempt to repeat the process of` possting a message until it succeeds.  As a result we sometimes get the messages posted 2 times.  Unfortunately, for every attempt to post, it sends out an e-mail of the message. So far the worst we've seen is 3 e-mails being sent out for one message and most of the time it send out 2 messages which is not what we want.

I would like to apologize to everyone about the multiple e-mails and it looks like the only solution is find a new hosting service.  That's something I'm not excited about doing as I've used this hosting service for a long time and really like them.

So please accept my apologies for the multiple messages, thank you for your patience and hopefully we'll find a solution that doesn't allow this to happen all the time.

God bless,

Rob Floyd

I've created this blog as a 'behind the scenes' area for the Today Series.  Rather than adding more e-mail to your inbox I'll use this area to make various announcements about the Today Series.  For example - I'm in the process of updating  the look-and-feel of the Today Series.  Over the next couple of days you can expect to see a navigational menu added to the site that will allow us to make this blog section, Norma's blog, and other Today Series pages more easily accessible.

I will also be posting some instructions about using the RSS feeds in Outlook for those of you that use it.  You can also subscribe to the Today Series via your mobile phone.  There's a lot more ways to access the site - I'll keep you posted.
